The Hiwassee Dam Eagles softball team scored 16 runs and limited the visiting Cherokee Braves to 10 in the Eagles league triumph on Thursday.
With the triumph, Hiwassee Dam moves its record to 7-0 on the year. The Eagles travel to Andrews (Andrews, NC) to clash with the Wildcats in a Smoky Mountain 1A game on Tuesday, April 5. The Wildcats come into the game with a record of 1-6. Andrews lost 16-8 in their recent league game against Hayesville (Hayesville, NC)
In their next game, the Braves clash with the Murphy Bulldogs (Murphy, NC) in a Smoky Mountain 1A game, on Friday, April 1. Cherokee will attempt to move on its 3-6 season record. The Bulldogs come into the game with a 3-3 record after their 13-6 league loss to Cherokee (Cherokee, NC).
