Cheyenne Desert Shields (North Las Vegas, NV) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Western Warriors (Las Vegas, NV), 13-8 in a league challenge.

The Desert Shields now own a 3-4 record. They take the field next when they host Southeast Career Tech for a 4A Mountain challenge on Monday, April 4. Cheyenne will face a Roadrunners squad coming off a 11-1 league win over Bonanza (Las Vegas, NV). The Roadrunners record now stands at 7-1.

With the loss, Western falls to 1-6 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Las Vegas (Las Vegas, NV) to face the Wildcats in a 4A Mountain challenge on Monday, April 4. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 4-4. Las Vegas won 13-0 in their recent league challenge against Bonanza (Las Vegas, NV)
