The South Point Red Raiders (Belmont, NC) softball triumphed over the host Ashbrook Greenwave (Gastonia, NC), 17-4 in Friday's league challenge.
The Red Raiders now sport a 2-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Shelby for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 3. South Point will face a Golden Lions squad coming off a 5-4 league win over Thomas Jefferson (Mooresboro, NC). The Golden Lions record now stands at 5-7.
With the loss, Ashbrook falls to 1-9 on the campaign. The Greenwave host Huss (Gastonia, NC) to face the Huskies in a Big South 3A challenge on Tuesday, April 4. The Huskies enter the challenge with a record of 0-5. Huss lost 15-0 in their recent league challenge against North Gaston (Dallas, NC)
