North Carolina High School Softball - Gray's Creek bounces Purnell Swett

The crowd at Friday's league match between the Gray's Creek Bears (Hope Mills, NC) and the visiting Purnell Swett Rams (Pembroke, NC), saw Gray's Creek's softball squad achieve victory over Purnell Swett by a count of 13-3.

The Bears now sport a 7-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Douglas Byrd for a United Eight 3A/4A match on Monday, April 3. Gray's Creek will face a Eagles squad coming off a 18-0 non-league loss to St. Pauls (St. Pauls, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 0-11.

With the loss, Purnell Swett falls to 5-9 on the campaign. The Rams host Cape Fear (Fayetteville, NC) to face the Colts in a United Eight 3A/4A match on Tuesday, April 4. The Colts enter the match with a record of 7-2. Cape Fear lost 8-7 in their recent league match against Lumberton (Lumberton, NC)
