In their next game, the Golden Eagles face the Floyd Central Jaguars (Eastern, KY) in a non-league game, on Friday, March 8. Johnson Central will attempt to move on its 28-2 season record. The Jaguars enter the game with a 13-18 record after their 56-52 non-league win over Pike County Central (Pikeville, KY).

With the defeat, Lawrence County moves to 18-12 on the year.
