King Panthers (Houston, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting North Shore Mustangs (Houston, TX), 3-1 in a league challenge.

The Panthers now own a 18-4 record. They take the field next when they host Kingwood for a 6A Region III District 21 challenge on Friday, March 8. King will battle a Mustangs squad coming off a 20-0 league win over Beaumont United (Beaumont, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 15-5.

With the loss, North Shore falls to 4-2 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Summer Creek (Houston, TX) to battle the Bulldogs in a 6A Region III District 21 challenge on Friday, March 8. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 13-7. Summer Creek won 9-0 in their recent league challenge against Humble (Humble, TX)
