Lake Howell Silver Hawks (Winter Park, FL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Oviedo Lions (Oviedo, FL), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Silver Hawks now own a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they host Winter Springs for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 6. Lake Howell will battle a Bears squad coming off a 4-1 non-league loss to Oakleaf (Orange Park, FL). The Bears record now stands at 2-3.

With the loss, Oviedo falls to 2-5 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Lyman (Longwood, FL) to battle the Greyhounds in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 6. The Greyhounds enter the challenge with a record of 2-2. Lyman won 17-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Pine Ridge (Deltona, FL)
