The Burns Bulldogs triumphed over the visiting Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy Gryphons softball squad by a count of 17-0 in Wednesday's league challenge.

Next, the Bulldogs meet the Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy Gryphons (Mooresboro, NC) in a Southern Piedmont 1A/2A challenge, on Wednesday, March 5. Burns will attempt to upgrade on its 3-1 season record.

The Gryphons (0-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Burns (Lawndale, NC). The Bulldogs enter the Southern Piedmont 1A/2A challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, Burns overcame Stuart W. Cramer (Belmont, NC), 20-6, in a non-league challenge.
