Next, the Pirates meet the Plainview Bulldogs (Plainview, TX) in a 5A Region I District 3 challenge, on Friday, March 7. Lubbock-Cooper will attempt to upgrade on its 11-4 season record. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a 4-9 record after their 11-2 league loss to Amarillo (Amarillo, TX).

The Mustangs (3-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Palo Duro (Amarillo, TX). The Dons enter the non-league challenge with a 2-7 record. In their last challenge, Palo Duro overcame Dalhart (Dalhart, TX), 13-12, in a non-league challenge.
