Next, the Pirates meet the Plainview Bulldogs (Plainview, TX) in a 5A Region I District 3 challenge, on Friday, April 4. Lubbock-Cooper will attempt to upgrade on its 19-4 season record. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a 6-16 record after their 4-3 league loss to Amarillo (Amarillo, TX).

The Mustangs (4-14) will now prepare for their challenge against Palo Duro (Amarillo, TX). The Dons enter the non-league challenge with a 2-17 record. In their last challenge, Palo Duro was routed by Lubbock-Cooper (Lubbock, TX), 19-0, in a league challenge.
