Spectators at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Hoke County Bucks (Raeford, NC) and the visiting Red Springs Red Devils (Red Springs, NC), witnessed Hoke County's baseball team knock off Red Springs by a count of 9-5.

The Bucks now own a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they host Scotland for a Sandhills 3A/4A challenge on Friday, March 7. Hoke County will clash with a Fighting Scots team coming off a 7-6 non-league win over St. Pauls (St. Pauls, NC). The Fighting Scots record now stands at 3-1.

With the defeat, Red Springs drops to 3-3 on the year. The Red devils travel to Lakewood (Roseboro, NC) to clash with the Leopards in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 11. The Leopards go into the challenge with a record of 2-3. Lakewood won 8-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Lejeune (Camp Lejeune, NC)
