The Gardendale Rockets overwhelmed the host Clay-Chalkville Cougars softball squad by a count of 16-6 in Thursday's league challenge.
Next, the Rockets meet the West Morgan Rebels (Trinity, AL) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, March 7. Gardendale will attempt to upgrade on its 8-9 season record. The Rebels go into the challenge with a 1-4 record after their 10-8 non-league win over Russellville (Russellville, AL).
The Cougars (4-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Fairfield (Fairfield, AL). The Tigers go into the non-league challenge with a 0-3 record.
