Marengo Panthers (Dixons Mills, AL) backers left the game pleased Thursday as they saw their softball squad thwart the host Johnson Eagles (Thomaston, AL), 25-1 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Marengo upgrades its record to 1-0 on the year. The Panthers travel to Choctaw County (Butler, AL) to play the Tigers in a non-league game on Tuesday, March 18. The Tigers enter the game with a record of 0-5.

The Eagles now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Keith for a 1A Area 5 game on Tuesday, March 11.
