Florida High School Softball - Braden River Venice

In Tuesday's non-league contest, the Venice Indians (Venice, FL) softball team overwhelmed the host Braden River Pirates (Bradenton, FL), by a margin of 8-2.

With the triumph, Venice moves its record to 4-1 on the year. The Indians host Riverview Sarasota (Sarasota, FL) to play the Rams in a 7A District 8 contest on Friday, March 10. The Rams come into the contest with a record of 1-4. Riverview Sarasota lost 9-1 in their recent non-league contest against Lemon Bay (Englewood, FL)

In their next game, the Pirates play the Lakewood Ranch Mustangs (Bradenton, FL) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, March 9. Braden River will attempt to move on its 2-4 season record. The Mustangs come into the contest with a 6-3 record after their 5-4 non-league loss to Windermere (Windermere, FL).
