The Hallsville Bobcats routed the visiting Marshall Mavericks softball squad by a final score of 14-3 in Tuesday's league battle.
The Bobcats (4-7) will now prepare for their battle against Texas (Texarkana, TX). The Tigers go into the 5A Region II District 15 battle with a 6-4 record.
The Mavericks now possess a 7-8 record. They play next when they host Whitehouse for a 5A Region II District 15 battle on Friday, March 10. Marshall will meet a Wildcats squad coming off a 7-5 league loss to Longview (Longview, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 14-5.
