The crowd at Friday's league battle between the South View Tigers (Hope Mills, NC) and the visiting Douglas Byrd Eagles (Fayetteville, NC), saw South View's baseball team gain a win over Douglas Byrd by a tally of 21-0.

The Tigers (4-2) will now prepare for their battle against Southern Lee (Sanford, NC). The Cavaliers enter the non-league battle with a 2-1 record. In their last battle, Southern Lee was overwhelmed by Richmond (Rockingham, NC), 7-2, in a league battle.

Next, the Eagles face the Gray's Creek Bears (Hope Mills, NC) in a United Eight 3A/4A battle, on Tuesday, March 11. Douglas Byrd will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Bears enter the battle with a 3-3 record after their 19-1 league win over Seventy-First (Fayetteville, NC).
