The South View Tigers baseball team scored 21 runs and held the host Douglas Byrd Eagles to 0 in the Tigers league win on Tuesday.

The Tigers now hold a 9-6 record. They take the field next when they host East Columbus for a non-league test on Thursday, April 3. South View will play a Gators team coming off a 4-3 league win over Whiteville (Whiteville, NC). The Gators record now stands at 7-4.

With the defeat, Douglas Byrd drops to 0-9 on the year. The Eagles travel to Purnell Swett (Pembroke, NC) to play the Rams in a United Eight 3A/4A test on Wednesday, April 2. The Rams go into the test with a record of 6-7. Purnell Swett lost 9-6 in their recent league test against Gray's Creek (Hope Mills, NC)
