The East Gaston Warriors (Mt. Holly, NC) baseball trounced the host Highland Tech Rams (Gastonia, NC), 8-1 in Friday's league challenge.

The Warriors now own a 3-3 record. They take the field next when they host Bessemer City for a Southern Piedmont 1A/2A challenge on Tuesday, March 11. East Gaston will clash with a Yellow Jackets team coming off a 2-1 league loss to Shelby (Shelby, NC). The Yellow Jackets record now stands at 3-3.

With the defeat, Highland Tech drops to 2-3 on the year. The Rams host Burns (Lawndale, NC) to clash with the Bulldogs in a Southern Piedmont 1A/2A challenge on Tuesday, March 11. The Bulldogs go into the challenge with a record of 5-1. Burns lost 2-1 in their recent non-league challenge against T.C. Roberson (Asheville, NC)
