In Friday's non-league challenge, the host Esperanza Aztecs volleyball team scored a 2-0 victory over the Clovis West Golden Eagles.

The Aztecs (10-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Arroyo Grande (Arroyo Grande, CA). The Eagles enter the non-league challenge with a 4-5 record. In their last challenge, Arroyo Grande was beaten by Laguna Blanca (Santa Barbara, CA), 3-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Golden Eagles meet the Trabuco Hills Mustangs (Mission Viejo, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, March 8. Clovis West will attempt to upgrade on its 5-9 season record. The Mustangs enter the challenge with a 8-4 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Torres (Los Angeles, CA).
