The Plainsmen (12-4) will now prepare for their battle against Palo Duro (Amarillo, TX). The Dons enter the 5A Region 1 District 3 battle with a 8-8 record. In their last battle, Palo Duro was edged by Tascosa (Amarillo, TX), 4-0, in a league battle.

Next up, the Pirates confront the Amarillo Sandies (Amarillo, TX) in a 5A Region 1 District 3 battle, on Tuesday, March 11. Lubbock-Cooper will attempt to upgrade on its 10-3 season record. The Sandies enter the battle with a 16-1 record after their 2-0 league win over Monterey (Lubbock, TX).
