Texas High School Softball - Spring Hill bested by Gilmer

The Gilmer Buckeyes triumphed over the visiting Spring Hill Panthers softball squad by a count of 16-4 in Friday's league challenge.

Next, the Buckeyes play the Harmony Eagles (Big Sandy, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, March 10. Gilmer will attempt to upgrade on its 11-2 season record. The Eagles enter the challenge with a 6-3 record after their 12-0 non-league win over Pittsburg (Pittsburg, TX).

The Panthers (10-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Carthage (Carthage, TX). The Bulldogs enter the 4A Region II District 16 challenge with a 11-4 record. In their last challenge, Carthage overcame Kilgore (Kilgore, TX), 17-2, in a league challenge.
