Southside Southerners (Batesville, AR) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Trumann Wildcats (Trumann, AR), 14-1 in a league challenge.

The Southerners now own a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they host Trumann for a 4A-3 challenge on Tuesday, March 8. Southside will battle a Wildcats squad coming off a 10-5 non-league loss to Jonesboro (Jonesboro, AR). The Wildcats record now stands at 0-1.
