Albemarle Bulldogs (Albemarle, NC) fans were pleased Wednesday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Anson Bearcats (Wadesboro, NC), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Bulldogs confront the South Stanly Rowdy Rebel Bulls (Norwood, NC) in a Yadkin Valley 1A/2A challenge, on Monday, March 13. Albemarle will attempt to better on its 1-0 season record. The Rowdy Rebel Bulls enter the challenge with a 0-4 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to South Davidson (Denton, NC).
The Bearcats now have a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to North Stanly for a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 16.
