Northwest Guilford Vikings (Greensboro, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Grimsley Whirlies (Greensboro, NC), 16-0 in a league challenge.

The Vikings now own a 4-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Page for a Metro 4A challenge on Tuesday, March 12. Northwest Guilford will face a Pirates squad coming off a 18-8 league win over Ragsdale (Jamestown, NC). The Pirates record now stands at 1-1.

With the loss, Grimsley falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Whirlies host Western Guilford (Greensboro, NC) to face the Hornets in a Metro 4A challenge on Tuesday, March 12. The Hornets enter the challenge with a record of 0-2. Western Guilford lost 25-7 in their recent league challenge against Southwest Guilford (High Point, NC)
