Stratford Spartans (Houston, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Spring Woods Tigers (Houston, TX), 17-1 in a league challenge.

The Spartans now own a 11-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cypress Ridge for a 6A Region III District 17 challenge on Tuesday, March 19. Stratford will face a Rams squad coming off a 14-7 league loss to Memorial (Houston, TX). The Rams record now stands at 7-6.

With the loss, Spring Woods falls to 2-16 on the campaign. The Tigers host Cy-Fair (Cypress, TX) to face the Bobcats in a 6A Region III District 17 challenge on Tuesday, March 19. The Bobcats enter the challenge with a record of 14-7. Cy-Fair won 16-1 in their recent league challenge against Northbrook (Houston, TX)
