In Saturday's league match, the visiting Dawson Eagles softball team scored a nice 19-1 win over the Sam Rayburn Texans.

The Eagles (6-8) will now prepare for their match against Alvin (Alvin, TX). The Yellowjackets come into the 6A Region III District 22 match with a 8-7 record. In their last match, Alvin notched a victory over Manvel (Manvel, TX), 7-6, in a league match.

In their next game, the Texans confront the Dobie Longhorns (Houston, TX) in a 6A Region III District 22 match, on Tuesday, March 11. Sam Rayburn will attempt to better on its 3-11 season record. The Longhorns come into the match with a 8-7 record after their 23-1 league win over South Houston (South Houston, TX).
