New Mexico High School Softball - La Cueva can't get by Volcano Vista

In Wednesday's non-league contest, the Volcano Vista Hawks (Albuquerque, NM) softball team held off the host La Cueva Bears (Albuquerque, NM), by a margin of 15-14.
With the triumph, Volcano Vista moves its record to 6-0 on the year. The Hawks host Manzano (Albuquerque, NM) to play the Monarchs in a non-league contest on Friday, March 11. The Monarchs come into the contest with a record of 2-1. Manzano won 14-4 in their recent non-league contest against Eldorado (Albuquerque, NM)
In their next game, the Bears play the Atrisco Heritage Academy Jaguars (Albuquerque, NM) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, March 12. La Cueva will attempt to move on its 1-1 season record. The Jaguars come into the contest with a 5-2 record after their 8-7 non-league win over Albuquerque (Albuquerque, NM).
