North Carolina High School Baseball - Independence loses to Providence

In Friday's league game, the host Providence Panthers baseball team scored a nice 11-1 victory over the Independence Patriots.
The Panthers (12-0) will now prepare for their game against Rocky River (Mint Hill, NC). The Ravens go into the Southwestern 4A game with a 2-8 record. In their last game, Rocky River was overwhelmed by Butler (Matthews, NC), 23-7, in a league game.
The Patriots (4-9) will now prepare for their game against East Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC). The Eagles go into the Southwestern 4A game with a 6-7 record. In their last game, East Mecklenburg was overwhelmed by Hurricane (Hurricane, WV), 11-1, in a non-league game.
