The crowd at Friday's league match between the Sonora Wildcats (Sonora, CA) and the host Argonaut Mustangs (Jackson, CA), saw Sonora's softball squad nip Argonaut by a count of 3-1.

The Wildcats now sport a 6-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Stagg for a non-league match on Saturday, April 2. Sonora will face a Delta Kings squad coming off a 10-0 non-league loss to Bear Creek (Stockton, CA). The Delta Kings record now stands at 7-5.

With the loss, Argonaut falls to 2-6 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Amador (Sutter Creek, CA) to face the Buffaloes in a Mother Lode League match on Tuesday, April 5. The Buffaloes enter the match with a record of 2-7. Amador lost 19-0 in their recent league match against Calaveras (San Andreas, CA)
