The Trico Pioneers softball team scored 10 runs and limited the host Chester Yellowjackets to 0 in the Pioneers non-league triumph on Saturday.

With the triumph, Trico moves its record to 2-1 on the year. The Pioneers travel to Marion (Marion, IL) to clash with the Wildcats in a non-league game on Monday, April 3. The Wildcats come into the game with a record of 6-3. Marion won 17-0 in their recent league game against Cahokia (Cahokia, IL)

In their next game, the Yellowjackets clash with the Red Bud Musketeers (Red Bud, IL) in a Cahokia - Illinois game, on Tuesday, April 4. Chester will attempt to move on its 4-5 season record. The Musketeers come into the game with a 4-4 record after their 8-1 non-league win over Fairfield (Fairfield, IL).
