Sequoyah Chiefs (Madisonville, TN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Tellico Plains Bears (Tellico Plains, TN), 4-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Chiefs now own a 2-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Rhea County for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 1. Sequoyah will battle a Golden Eagles squad coming off a 11-1 league win over Ooltewah (Ooltewah, TN). The Golden Eagles record now stands at 4-6.

With the loss, Tellico Plains falls to 4-3 on the campaign. The Bears travel to McMinn Central (Englewood, TN) to battle the Chargers in a 2A District 3 challenge on Monday, April 3.
