The Sequoyah Chiefs softball team scored 9 runs and limited the host Tellico Plains Bears to 2 in the Chiefs non-league triumph on Wednesday.

With the triumph, Sequoyah moves its record to 3-5 on the year. The Chiefs host Lenoir City (Lenoir City, TN) to clash with the Panthers in a non-league game on Thursday, April 6. The Panthers come into the game with a record of 4-9. Lenoir City lost 22-4 in their recent league game against Fulton (Knoxville, TN)

Next up, the Bears meet the McMinn County Cherokees (Athens, TN) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, April 6. Tellico Plains will attempt to better on its 5-5 season record. The Cherokees go into the battle with a 6-3 record after their 2-1 league loss to Walker Valley (Cleveland, TN).
