Coming up next, the Wildcats clash with the Pearl Pirates (Pearl, MS) in a 7A Region 3 test, on Wednesday, April 3. Meridian will attempt to improve on its 9-6 season record. The Pirates come into the test with a 4-12 record after their 12-0 league loss to Petal (Petal, MS).

The Golden Tornadoes (0-8) will now prepare for their test against Wayne County (Waynesboro, MS). The War Eagles come into the 5A Region 4 test with a 10-10 record. In their last test, Wayne County overcame Stone (Wiggins, MS), 2-1, in a league test.
