The Purnell Swett Rams baseball squad (Pembroke, NC), was edged 3-2 in Tuesday's league contest with the visiting Cape Fear Colts (Fayetteville, NC)

With the triumph, Cape Fear moves its record to 10-5 on the season. The Colts travel to Harnett Central (Angier, NC) to confront the Trojans in a non-league contest on Wednesday, April 2. The Trojans come into the contest with a record of 7-5. Harnett Central won 19-1 in their recent league contest against E.E. Smith (Fayetteville, NC)

The Rams now possess a 6-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Douglas Byrd for a United Eight 3A/4A contest on Wednesday, April 2. Purnell Swett will confront a Eagles squad coming off a 21-0 league loss to South View (Hope Mills, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 0-9.
