In Tuesday's non-league bout, the Independence Tigers (Independence, LA) baseball squad edged the host West St. John Rams (Edgard, LA), by a tally of 2-1.
Next up, the Tigers encounter the St. Thomas Aquinas Falcons (Hammond, LA) in a 2A District 9 bout, on Wednesday, April 2. Independence will attempt to upgrade on its 11-9 season record. The Falcons enter the bout with a 11-15 record after their 1-0 league loss to French Settlement (French Settlement, LA).
