North Carolina High School Baseball - Clayton edges Cleveland

The Clayton Comets baseball team scored 6 runs and held the host Cleveland Rams to 3 in the Comets non-league win on Tuesday.

The Comets now own a 5-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Smithfield-Selma for a non-league test on Wednesday, April 2. Clayton will play a Spartans team coming off a 19-2 league loss to C.B. Aycock (Pikeville, NC). The Spartans record now stands at 3-7.

With the defeat, Cleveland drops to 4-6 on the year. The Rams travel to Clayton (Clayton, NC) to play the Comets in a test on Thursday, April 3. The Comets go into the test with a record of 6-6. Clayton won 18-0 in their recent non-league test against Smithfield-Selma (Smithfield, NC)
