The Clayton Yellowjackets softball team scored 23 runs and held the host Pecos Panthers to 14 in the Yellowjackets league win on Tuesday.

The Yellowjackets now sport a 3-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Santa Rosa for a A/2A District 6 battle on Tuesday, April 8. Clayton will confront a Lions team coming off a 20-7 non-league win over Highland (Albuquerque, NM). The Lions record now stands at 3-3.

With the loss, Pecos moves to 2-4 on the season. The Panthers host Mora (Mora, NM) to confront the Rangers/Rangerettes in a non-league battle on Thursday, April 3. The Rangers/Rangerettes come into the battle with a record of 5-3. Mora won 21-1 in their recent non-league battle against Tucumcari (Tucumcari, NM)
