The Clayton Yellowjackets triumphed over the visiting Pecos Panthers softball squad by a count of 24-13 in Tuesday's league challenge.
Next, the Yellowjackets play the Estancia Bears (Estancia, NM) in a A/2A District 6 challenge, on Thursday, April 24. Clayton will attempt to upgrade on its 6-8 season record. The Bears enter the challenge with a 16-2 record after their 15-0 league win over Logan (Logan, NM).
The Panthers (4-15) will now prepare for their challenge against Santa Rosa (Santa Rosa, NM). The Lions enter the A/2A District 6 challenge with a 8-9 record. In their last challenge, Santa Rosa was routed by Tucumcari (Tucumcari, NM), 34-21, in a league challenge.
