North Carolina High School Softball - Gray's Creek bounces Seventy-First

April 1, 2025: Hope Mills, NC 28348

The Gray's Creek Bears (Hope Mills, NC) softball routed the visiting Seventy-First Falcons (Fayetteville, NC), 18-0 in Tuesday's league outing.

The Bears now sport a 13-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Pinecrest for a non-league outing on Thursday, April 3. Gray's Creek will encounter a Patriots team coming off a 15-2 league loss to Richmond (Rockingham, NC). The Patriots record now stands at 2-11.

With the loss, Seventy-First moves to 2-9 on the season. The Falcons travel to Cape Fear (Fayetteville, NC) to meet the Colts in a United Eight 3A/4A challenge on Thursday, April 3. The Colts enter the challenge with a record of 10-3. Cape Fear won 13-10 in their recent league challenge against Purnell Swett (Pembroke, NC)
