The James Wood Colonels triumphed over the visiting Liberty Eagles softball squad by a count of 16-1 in Tuesday's league challenge.

Next, the Colonels meet the Clarke County Eagles (Berryville, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, April 2. James Wood will attempt to upgrade on its 5-1 season record. The Eagles enter the challenge with a 3-3 record after their 8-0 non-league loss to Central Woodstock (Woodstock, VA).

The Eagles (4-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Warren County (Front Royal, VA). The Wildcats enter the Northwestern challenge with a 0-5 record. In their last challenge, Warren County was routed by Brentsville District (Nokesville, VA), 12-3, in a league challenge.
