The crowd at Thursday's league bout between the Liberty Eagles (Bealeton, VA) and the visiting James Wood Colonels (Winchester, VA), observed Liberty's softball team get by James Wood by a tally of 4-3.

The Eagles (8-6) will now prepare for their bout against Fauquier (Warrenton, VA). The Falcons go into the Northwestern bout with a 12-1 record. In their last bout, Fauquier tipped Kettle Run (Nokesville, VA), 11-3, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Colonels battle the Millbrook Pioneers (Winchester, VA) in a Northwestern bout, on Monday, May 12. James Wood will attempt to advance on its 11-6 season record. The Pioneers go into the bout with a 8-6 record after their 8-0 league win over Meridian (Falls Church, VA).
