The crowd at Tuesday's league bout between the Kirtland Central Broncos (Kirtland, NM) and the visiting Shiprock Chieftains (Shiprock, NM), observed Kirtland Central's softball team prevail over Shiprock by a tally of 14-1.

The Broncos (8-9) will now prepare for their bout against Gallup (Gallup, NM). The Bengals go into the 4A District 1 bout with a 4-7 record. In their last bout, Gallup knocked off Santa Fe (Santa Fe, NM), 5-2, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Chieftains clash with the Bloomfield Bobcats (Bloomfield, NM) in a 4A District 1 bout, on Thursday, April 3. Shiprock will attempt to advance on its 5-8 season record. The Bobcats go into the bout with a 3-10 record after their 20-2 league loss to Aztec (Aztec, NM).
