The Weslaco Panthers softball team scored 19 runs and held the visiting La Joya Coyotes to 2 in the Panthers league win on Tuesday.

The Panthers now sport a 13-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Edinburg North for a 6A Region IV District 31 battle on Friday, April 4. Weslaco will encounter a Cougars team coming off a 11-1 league win over Economedes (Edinburg, TX). The Cougars record now stands at 20-6.

With the loss, La Joya moves to 3-11 on the season. The Coyotes host Edinburg (Edinburg, TX) to encounter the Bobcats in a 6A Region IV District 31 battle on Friday, April 4. The Bobcats come into the battle with a record of 9-8. Edinburg lost 11-1 in their recent league battle against Pharr-San Juan-Alamo (San Juan, TX)
