In Thursday's league test, the Elgin Maroons (Elgin, IL) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting Aurora East Tomcats (Aurora, IL), by a tally of 15-6.

Next, the Maroons clash with the Wheeling Wildcats (Wheeling, IL) in a non-league test, on Friday, April 11. Elgin will attempt to advance on its 1-3 season record. The Wildcats go into the test with a 1-2 record after their 23-3 non-league win over Waukegan (Waukegan, IL).

The Tomcats (0-6) will now prepare for their test against Larkin (Elgin, IL). The Royals go into the Upstate Eight test with a 3-5 record.
