New Mexico High School Softball - Del Norte bested by Valley

The Valley Vikings triumphed over the host Del Norte Knights softball squad by a count of 19-0 in Thursday's league challenge.

Next, the Vikings meet the Highland Hornets (Albuquerque, NM) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, April 14. Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 8-9 season record. The Hornets enter the challenge with a 2-16 record after their 22-4 non-league loss to Rio Grande (Albuquerque, NM).

The Knights (3-16) will now prepare for their challenge against Atrisco Heritage Academy (Albuquerque, NM). The Jaguars enter the non-league challenge with a 12-5 record. In their last challenge, Atrisco Heritage Academy overcame West Mesa (Albuquerque, NM), 7-6, in a league challenge.
