Fairfax Lions (Fairfax, VA) fans were pleased Monday as they observed their soccer team knock off the host West Springfield Spartans (Springfield, VA), 3-1 in a league challenge.

Next, the Lions confront the Woodson Cavaliers (Fairfax, VA) in a Patriot challenge, on Thursday, April 14. Fairfax will attempt to upgrade on its 7-0 season record.

With the loss, West Springfield drops to 5-1 on the season. The Spartans travel to South County (Lorton, VA) to meet the Stallions in a Patriot test on Tuesday, May 3. The Stallions come into the test with a record of 6-0.
