Riverside-Brookfield Bulldogs (Riverside, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Ridgewood Rebels (Norridge, IL), 16-6 in a league challenge.

The Bulldogs now own a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they host IC Catholic Prep for a Metro Suburban challenge on Tuesday, April 12. Riverside-Brookfield will battle a Knights squad coming off a 10-0 league win over Rosary (Aurora, IL). The Knights record now stands at 5-4.

With the loss, Ridgewood falls to 2-5 on the campaign. The Rebels host Aurora Central Catholic (Aurora, IL) to battle the Chargers in a Metro Suburban challenge on Tuesday, April 12. The Chargers enter the challenge with a record of 4-0. Aurora Central Catholic won 3-1 in their recent league challenge against St. Francis (Wheaton, IL)
