Idalou Wildcats (Idalou, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Abernathy Antelopes (Abernathy, TX), 21-0 in a league challenge.

The Wildcats now own a 22-7 record. They take the field next when they host Roosevelt for a 3A Region I District 2 challenge on Friday, April 14. Idalou will battle a Eagles squad coming off a 11-6 league win over Childress (Childress, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 6-6.

With the loss, Abernathy falls to 1-9 on the campaign. The Antelopes travel to Slaton (Slaton, TX) to battle the Tigers in a 3A Region I District 2 challenge on Friday, April 14. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 5-9. Slaton lost 6-4 in their recent league challenge against Childress (Childress, TX)
