Fruitland Grizzlies (Fruitland, ID) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Payette Pirates (Payette, ID), 16-2 in a league challenge.

The Grizzlies now own a 3-11 record. They take the field next when they travel to Melba for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 12. Fruitland will face a Mustangs squad coming off a 13-4 non-league win over Vision (Caldwell, ID). The Mustangs record now stands at 7-4.

With the loss, Payette falls to 0-10 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to Marsing (Marsing, ID) to face the Huskies in a non-league challenge on Friday, April 12. The Huskies enter the challenge with a record of 5-6. Marsing lost 11-0 in their recent league challenge against New Plymouth (New Plymouth, ID)
