The Gate City Blue Devils smashed the host Ridgeview Wolfpack soccer team by a tally of 9-0 in Friday's league game.
Next, the Blue Devils clash with the Union Bears (Big Stone Gap, VA) in a Mountain 7 game, on Tuesday, April 15. Gate City will attempt to advance on its 8-1 season record. The Bears come into the game with a 1-6 record after their 7-0 non-league loss to Volunteer (Church Hill, TN).
The Wolfpack (1-5) will now prepare for their game against Abingdon (Abingdon, VA). The Falcons come into the Mountain 7 game with a 3-5 record. In their last game, Abingdon defeated John Battle (Bristol, VA), 3-1, in a league game.
